Bus Lines Plan to Improve Service

Public Meetings Held to Inform Riders and Receive Feedback

Over the next three weeks, Metropolitan Transit District will be holding meetings to discuss upcoming route changes to Line 20 to Carpinteria — from 60 to 40 minutes from downtown S.B.; Lines 7, 8, and 9 — between downtown Santa Barbara and Goleta’s Fairview area; Lines 23 and 25 — between UCSB and Dos Pueblos High School, and along Cathedral Oaks to Winchester Canyon; Lines 6 and 11 — which will mix with Lines 23 and 25; and a new Line 28 between UCSB, Isla Vista, and Camino Real Marketplace to service the new San Joaquin dorms.

The first meeting takes place Tuesday, March 29, 6 p.m. at the Carpinteria Library, 5141 Carpinteria Avenue. The second will be held Wednesday, March 30, 6 p.m., at Goleta Valley Community Center, 5679 Hollister Avenue. Other meetings will occur in Isla Vista, Santa Barbara, and Goleta.
