On Saturday, prep athletes from Carpinteria to Santa Maria will compete in the County Championships. Among them are Bishop Diego sprinter AV Bennett, accepted as a UCLA football preferred walk-on, and San Marcos junior Erica Schroeder, the state 800-meter champ. 10am.
