I had higher hopes for the next generation. Close to $200,000 of Justin Fareed’s money has come from wealthy families in Los Angeles and New York, according to the Federal Election Commission, one member of whom has donated over $5,000 and is rumored to be deceased. I am disappointed to say the least.
Big city politics have tainted our pristine Central Coast, and the headlines point to twenty-something Justin Fareed lacking any merits of his own to stand on, without local financial support, or he tries to stand on his father’s accomplishments. I can respect what his father has done, but the apple seems to have rolled far away from the tree.
I remember during the Cal Poly debate when Justin unwittingly shared about his frustration as an intern in Washington, D.C., on the hill where he quit and came home. I don’t want quitters, and I don’t want people who bend the rules representing me or my hometown. I don’t want to hear more from Justin now or later.
