Has Jason Cathcart started a new design craze? His ABC DIY one-week-at-a-time crossword puzzle wallpaper has sparked admiration among our readers for his creativity, passion, and perseverance. Every week, Jason does the crossword in the pages of The Santa Barbara Independent, cuts it out, and pastes it on his growing crossword wall. Sixty-five weeks so far. Well, sixty-six, but one week we mistakenly reprinted the same puzzle twice. He says he’ll never forgive us, but I’m hoping this public apology helps. We’re sorry, Jason. And yes, we agree, your crossword wall is beautiful. Disclaimer: I’ve known and loved Jason’s parents Jim and Sonya since before he was born. Watch his video and you’ll agree: He’s one cool kid.
