A phenomenon has been taking place at the Santa Barbara Courthouse the last couple of years regarding district attorneys being able to use expletives in the courtroom as part of their vocabulary. Hilary Dozer (the biggest offender) has used the word “bullshit” seven times. If Mr. Dozer cares to challenge my word, I will be happy to give him dates and time of day.

Last July in Department 11, Justin Greene turned to Darryl Genis and said the following: “I don’t give a shit what another DA said. I’m the DA here. I will not agree to honor what agreement you had with Mr. Weichbrod before.”

Just recently, on July 3, Hannah Lucy, while walking from Dept. 12 to Dept. 11, turned to Mr. Genis and said, “You’re an asshole.” I find this ironic because a few days earlier Mr. Genis was found in contempt for $1,000 for calling Ms. Lucy “a little girl” because she kept sighing into the microphone while Mr. Genis was trying to make his argument.

I think this is not being dealt with from up top with [District Attorney Joyce] Dudley. Ms. Dudley has stated before, “We deal with things like this very seriously.” But I think the thought is: Bad DA, don’t do this, nod nod, wink wink.

Thanks, Chris Cook! I have a court recording with pretty annoying giggling by the girls in uniform in the back of the courtroom during testimony that wasn't a problem for the judge or bailiff, don't know if that's routine, too. It would be amazing to have truth stated by defense attorneys assigned equal credibility as perjury by LE in Santa Barbara Superior Court .

Judge Dandona was assigned to decide whether DDA Hannah Lucy was in contempt of court for saying "you're an A-hole' and the good judge wasted no time firing off an opinion letting the DDA off on a technicality.

When will these Judges treat people equally under the law, instead of kissing the DDA's butts?

Its high time for the California Commission on Judicial Performance to come into town and clean house.

It would also be nice if the California State Bar would take State Court Prosecutors to task, but it is well documented that they don't prosecute prosecutors.: another-study-shows- widespread-prosecutorial-misconduct-little-sanction/

I was one of DDA Hilary Dozer's 'victims'. In November of 2011 he called one of Judge Hills rulings 'Bulls!t' and I asked the good judge to hold this buddy in contempt. He said: "No, I'm not going to do that."

And when DDA Justin Green made his offensive remark in Department 11, Judge Dandana acted like this:

lawdy: argumentum ad hominem, English - kill the messenger, is a least an accurate description of Dudley's and Superior Court judges' legal response to Genis, the standard used by an adult with the upper hand in factual debate.
