Passing the Back to Work Budget drafted by the U.S. Congressional Progressive Caucus is critical to leading our country down the road to prosperity, not “austerity,” as Paul Ryan’s budget would do. We are at a critical crossroads in our nation right now, with Republicans acting like they won the 2012 election and continuing to try to repeal “Obamacare” (the Affordable Care Act), privatize our social safety nets, and give even more money to the wealthiest Americans and the military on the backs of the working poor and struggling American “middle class.” Our community needs to know that there is a sensible and sane budget that has been put forward by the largest congressional caucus – the Congressional Progressive Caucus. As progressives, we share a hard battle ahead.

Remember high school where you could vote for president but not the principal?

While we probably disagree on most everything, I'm not going to go there.
The bigger concern to me is using "sanity" and "government" in the same sentence.
Really? Government sanity? Really? Really Really?

They are completely incapable of balancing a checkbook.
These are minimal skills that any kid should be able to master.

Wait, I've got it! Let's find a 12yr old kid, who can add 2+2,
and elect him president.

After all, as Americans, our threshold of competence for leaders is pretty low, and hey that kid can add!

The left and the right, and even those that hate both
will never agree on much - that is true.

Stop focusing on that, and focus on what we all DO agree on.
Government is out of control and completely incompetent.

I'm not saying the left and right are going to be singing arm and arm anytime soon, but focusing on the real enemy that we all know is a step in the right direction.

We know insanity when we see it.
Now is the time to commit it to the mental hospital, so that it never again rises to terrorize the American public.

Demand more from your leadership.
Raise the bar.

Do not fall for their dirty little tricks of pitting left against right.
Do not become pawns in their game. You are being used.
Do not accept it.

Join hands and be Americans in solidarity.
