We Can Do Better

It was very gratifying to see Jean Yamamura, Nick Welsh, and Ethan Stewart’s pro-Measure P editorial. As they aptly put it, continuing our over-dependence on fossil fuels can only lead us to our own demise.

It doesn’t have to be this way. The U.S. has the world’s greatest scientists, innovators, and creative minds, remarkable wealth, and (when we act out of faith and not fear) a bright, spirited populace able to achieve anything it sets its hearts and minds to. This was the spirit behind Measure P, and it is sad we did not embrace it.
