So long as we don't have to tolerate these environmentally unsound ships in the long term... Seeing that hulk off our coast made me really thankful that we don't make a habit of putting out the welcome mat for these cruise ships.

It's time to shut that Jack in the Box down. It serves no purpose, except attracting hobos and gangbangers, and makes that intersection dangerous too...

I wish I wish I wish I wish KJEE played contemporary music - yes, I am a complainer, but why can't this radio station be more like KCRW? Not everyone likes listening to rehashed replayed "modern" rock from ten years ago every morning, and it is an insult to the intelligence of Santa Barbarans to think our tastes are so outdated.

On Drunk Driving Death on Las Positas Road

At a time when nearly 150 local children are about to be left without access to quality education, it is insensitive and wrong-headed to resort to unsupported assumptions about how Hope School District came to be so successful.
Where is the support in this story for the suggestion that “Since the district’s inception, proponents aggressively recruited families in the Santa Barbara School District to jump ship and bring their money with them?” Did someone say that to the reporter? Who? Is it even true?
When there is a real story to report, then resorting to opinion in a news story is insulting to readers. How about asking Ms. Fausset whether she is still working for her former employer, SBSD, in trying to send these kids back to the underperforming and underfunded schools she left behind, rather than focusing on maintaining the thriving schools she inherited in Hope, Monte Vista and Vieja Valley?
