Next time try leaving the French Quarter and finding some locals to share the real jewels of New Orleans. They are more than happy to show off their amazing city, and the Quarter is definitely not where they will send you!

I like that there's a big alcohol ad at the end of the article. Societal problem, maybe?

Wow, the proofreader is asleep at the wheel! The very first sentence and you can't even guess the correct your/you're to use? The state of journalism in America is abysmal.

Why in the world is this idiot allowed to ever get behind the wheel again?!?!? It is utterly moronic to not expect the same behavior from this man. What can we do to change the rules? I am so fed up of hearing stories about people killed by DUI drivers that have had multiple arrests in the past. Why don't we learn?!?

I will never understand why we, as a society, are so lenient and "understanding" toward drunk or impaired drivers. Driving is not a right, you can easily live life without the need to drive. You get one chance, if you screw it up, sorry, you don't get to drive any more. Simple as that.
I feel bad for the family, but it's sad that they feel the need to blame the people that genuinely were attempting to protect them. Maybe the deputy could have done something different and prevented the deaths, but to say his actions caused it is pretty mean. How do you think he feels?

The jurors seem to have confused "reasonable doubt" with "possible doubt." How could a reasonable person add up all the facts and conclude this man isn't guilty?

What are these "terrible race and cultural offences committed at UC campuses in the past year"? The exact phrase is used twice, but with absolutely nothing to back it up.

A Jeep jack-knifed? I thought that was only physically possible with a tractor-trailer combination, where it's unable to get out of the position without external help.

The new signs no longer include the block number?? That is really useful information to omit. Talk about form over function...
