i had a bit of a different experience. one of the worst shows i've been to at the bowl.. the band didn't start til after 8:30 (they have to finish at 10 or get big fines).. they shuffled around between songs wasting time, once looking for a set list, seemed like the singers were either too high or not quite ready to perform.. there were some bright points: their version of alexander's song "truth" and of course their one great song "home", but overall it was kind of lackluster and uninspiring.. sorry, i just hope they get a great show together before they come play a great place like the bowl again.

Great! A backed-up highway 154 for a week, and a blighted view from now on to boot! Guess we had to spend all that taxpayer money somehow! Yay do-goody idiot bureaucrats! I'm sure the people that would have jumped from the bridge in the future will definitely give up all thoughts of jumping off high places because of this brilliant plan. We are so clever and creative! More walls, more barriers, more fences!!
And they're doing this construction in the middle of the day and not at night after the traffic rush because why?

Sad story of a local cultural treasure lost...You forgot to mention that Charles Lindbergh stayed at the house for awhile to avoid the press after his sensational kidnapping tragedy. I worked there for a bit after Austin died, I remember all the fantastic art covering the walls, original Dali, Chagall lithos, the upstairs bathroom even had a greek mural painted on the walls...

problem is, even if you are a super funny, high level iq, very compassionate and loving tall and handsome extremely talented artist, the bottom line is that if you don't make enough money to support having kids her biological clock will go wacky and she'll leave you anyway after 3 happy years. sad.

Yeah you just don't get it. No one is saying the guy didn't really blow it. Just that the punishment should fit the mistake. 10 years in jail for this? If that seems fair to you, then I feel sorry that you live in such a hateful vindictive place.

well said observer. wish more people could see this from more than one angle beyond the hysterical and legal "right" "wrong" mentality.
