If the Navy does this again it will be the end of the large marine mammals in the channel as we know it now. Good bye Blue Whale watching, Humpbacks, Finn and many more. Grays will stick around because of their migration but they will be mostly deaf and shy most of the time.
I remember finding the first Blue Whales on the old Condor with Fred after the Navy stopped testing. It was amazing and it took along time for the whales to be 100% again.
They will kill so many creatures all over the Pacific Ocean! The whales will never be the same because of the amount of active sonar. It would be like you and me hugging a concert PA system at the Staples Center during a heavy metal concert and having long term effects forever or walking away with permanent damage, leading to deafness very shortly after. If the mammals can't hear, they die!
Hope the lawsuit has an effect!

My Grandfather used to test planes from Andrews and said when you hear them, they are really testing the public on the reaction. They know and understand but want to know how far the noise will carry...Meaning something they have is a new plane/technology and well that is always the military way of doing things....

My full knowledge of these awful meters including the 24db RAF noise that "pinged" my friends recording console at his studio, my "nerd" friends can easily hack into an entire neighborhoods daily activities with Radio Shack parts and a smart phone, the fact that the they are illegal in the FCC's eyes as they are only allowed to have an output of 5 watts but carry an antenna capable of transmitting 10 watts of signal etcetcetc...... than I asked him - "and how much longer does YOUR job last with Edison now that they are laying off the Meter Readers"? He sheepishly said - "2 more weeks. Edison is outsourcing everything. I have NO idea what I'm going to do". ~monopolistic asshats~ Thanks John!

All of the above commits are so irrelevant! Two people got seriously hurt and you want to blame the news reporting of the events? Really! It is a hard thing to follow even if you think you were given the best info. You all need to get a life!

We love Todd for the food he serves us at the Bowl! The love he puts into it comes out in the flavor! There is and has always been Irene, she is like a second mother to us all!
Thank you both for all the good food and happy smiles over the years!
Sincerely the Local 442 crew!
