Social Worker Wins Back Job After Homeless Shelter Expose
Social worker Liann Noble won her job back-along with back wages and legal costs-on 4/19. The child abuse investigator was terminated last September following her incognito investigation into conditions at the Bridgehouse homeless shelter. She published her findings in a Lompoc Record article in 2006. The county Civil Service Commission ruled that the Department of Social Services’ decision to fire Noble was “excessive.” The Service Employees International Union announced it will continue to monitor the case to ensure that Noble is not retaliated against.
