Officers arrested two transients – Jonathan Slyck and Daniel Katz – at an encampment off the 101 Freeway near Milpas and Carpinteria streets on the morning of 5/3. According to reports, the two were involved in a large fight that broke out following a bout of social drinking. The men are being charged with armed robbery and three counts of assault with a deadly weapon. For longer story, see here.
