The tugboat L’il Toot – which carries passengers between Stearns Wharf and the Santa Barbara Harbor every half hour – became the first commercial boat in the harbor to convert to biodiesel, Captain Free Hershman announced on 5/15. The fuel is made from 85 percent vegetable oil and 15 percent alcohol.
