The corpse of the prime suspect in a two-decade-old cold case, Patrick Pearse, was found in a parked car in Santa Maria on 5/18. A resident of Santa Maria, Pearse, 45, was linked to the bludgeoning murder of Linda Shulman, 30, after his DNA – on record for a previous manslaughter conviction – was found in an analysis made last year to match the semen stain on Shulman’s mattress.
