Patricia J. Stewart, most recently the deputy chief probation officer for Santa Barbara County, has been appointed the chief probation officer. She has worked for the county for 25 years in every division of the probation department, and began her new job on 5/21. She was also the probation manager of Los Prietos Boys Camp from 1996 to 2004. Stewart, who replaces R. Scott DeuPree, graduated from Dos Pueblos High School and UCSB.
