Congressman Elton Gallegly, representing inland Santa Barbara County, introduced a bill requiring that all federal contractors use the Social Security Administration to verify whether employees are legally entitled to work in the U.S. Gallegly noted that federal agencies already use the system, and is advocating that its use be expanded to all companies receiving federal contracts. This is the twelfth immigration bill Gallegly has introduced since January.
