Freon Leaks at Cottage Hospital
A hazardous materials crew was called to Cottage Hospital on 6/25 after a Freon leak was reported in the basement of an as-yet-unfinished energy center at the corner of Bath and Junipero streets. The leak sprung when a construction worker severed the pipe of a cooling system. Though nearby streets were closed to traffic during the cleanup, no patients were forced to evacuate the hospital and no construction workers were injured.
