A Santa Barbara man taking the curves too fast drove off the side of Camino Cielo Road sometime in the overnight hours of 6/26, according to CHP spokesperson Donald Clotworthy. James Victor’s Subaru slid 150 feet down the road’s embankment. Suffering from minor abrasions and dehydration, he was extricated the next afternoon when a U.S. Geological Survey work crew heard him calling for help and contacted rescuers.
