The Salvation Army in Carpinteria was evacuated on 7/27, after all 12 employees complained of feeling dizzy and lightheaded. Workers were sorting boxes in a warehouse and called 911 when people began feeling sick. Santa Barbara city and county hazmat crews entered the building in protective gear, spending two hours inside. They were unable to find anything hazardous in their investigation. The building was reopened later that day.
