Preliminary Hearing Continues for 14-Year-Old Juarez

Testimony went for and against 14-year-old murder defendant Ricardo Juarez at a preliminary hearing in the continuing case. Authorities testified that Juarez’s DNA was found along with that of the victim, Luis Angel Linares, on the only knife they retrieved from the scene. However, witnesses testified to a second knife-wielding assailant, bolstering the defense’s position that Juarez did not deliver the single fatal blow out of the eight stab wounds inflicted on Linares.
