Schwarzenegger Urges Budget Passage in Santa Maria

Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger visited the Santa Maria Wisdom Center – an adult day care facility reliant upon state funding – Monday, urging the state Senate to pass the 2008 budget, which has already passed in the Assembly. The budget is more than six weeks overdue, and Schwarzenegger toured the facility to show the impacts of not getting it passed. A group of Republicans refuses to pass it, maintaining that it’s not balanced.
