Thu Sep 06, 2007 | 06:00am

Members of the California Federation of Interpreters working in the court systems of Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, and San Luis Obispo counties went on strike as of 9/5. Union officials rejected the court administrators’ offer of a four percent raise. Santa Barbara County employs only one full-time court interpreter, Jose Navarrete, who admitted that his one-man protest would be “symbolic.”
