The Goleta Costco may be fitted with a solar-powered electricity generator to cut store costs. Costco Wholesale Corp. announced last week that a store in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii will be fitted for solar power, and that two California stores-one in San Luis Obispo and possibly the one in Goleta-may soon follow suit. Representatives from the Goleta Costco could not be reached for comment.
