Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital’s new, state-of-the-art Orfalea Children’s Center opened last week, thanks to a $5-million gift from the Orfalea Fund, an organization started by philanthropists Paul and Natalie Orfalea. The donation from the Orfaleas is part of $75 million that has been raised as part of the Cottage Hospital Foundation’s $100-million fundraising campaign. The center runs programs for children of all different ages.
