Boy Hit By Car Still in Hospital

Ilan Ashkenazi, 14, remains in Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital after he, his brother, and his mother were all seriously injured when a vehicle struck the three on 9/30. Ashkenazi’s mother Estelle, 54, was released earlier this week, and his brother, Janone, 18-a first-year UCSB student-was released the week following the collision. Ilan was admitted into the ICU in extremely critical condition with a severe head injury.
