Channel Keeper Teams with EDC against LNG

Local nonprofit organization Santa Barbara Channelkeeper announced on 10/22 that it has contracted the Environmental Defense Center to conduct the legal and scientific review of Northern Star Energy’s proposed plan to convert oil platform Grace-in the southern Santa Barbara Channel-into an LNG (liquefied natural gas) terminal. It was EDC research that played an instrumental role in the denial of the Cabrillo Port LNG facility this past spring.
