Court Interpreters Go Back to Work

At the urging of California State Senator Gloria Romero (D-Los Angeles), striking court interpreters in Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, and San Luis Obispo counties returned to work on 10/18. Although their union did not achieve its desired goal of interpreters getting scheduled pay increases that would have ultimately raised their salaries 22 percent, Romero pledged to speak with judicial higher-ups on the interpreters’ behalf.
