Vidal Velasco, 62, was killed on 10/26 while working on the Dos Pueblos Ranch just west of Goleta. Velasco, a ranch hand, was standing beneath a large, cracked limb as a coworker cut it. The branch fell on top of Velasco, crushing his chest and killing him.
