Effective 1/1, the Santa Barbara Regional Health Authority changed its name to CenCal Health in an effort to reflect the fact that the organization will soon provide Medi-Cal service to a larger area-both San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties, as of 3/1. Under its previous name, CenCal Health has been a Santa Barbara County Medi-Cal provider since 1983.
