Santa Barbara police arrived at Cottage Hospital on the evening of 1/17 to investigate the possible gang-related stabbing of a 17-year-old that allegedly occurred at Bohnett Park earlier that night. Police spokesman Sgt. Lorenzo Duarte noted in a statement that this location was a popular Westside gang hangout. The investigation is ongoing.
