The Federal Environmental Protection Agency added more heat to the controversy surrounding Greka Energy on 1/30 by promising to fine the company $32,000 a day if it does not immediately comply with the Federal Water Pollution Control Act. “There are no maximums to the potential fines Greka could face,” said Greka on-site coordinator Steve Calanog.
