Chamber of Commerce Explores Healthcare Options

The Santa Barbara Chamber of Commerce is introducing members to a health insurance innovation: Ben-E-Lect, which pays medical bills beyond a $2,000 deductible, while employers pay health care bills below that amount. Doing so turns out to be far cheaper than the price of a policy that covers those bills. Chamber CEO Steve Cushman said he endorses Ben-E-Lect after studying it thoroughly, though his employees at the chamber prefer to stay with their current plan.
