Report Examines UC Service Workers’ Wages

Teachers, students, union representatives, and dozens of workers gathered at UCSB on 2/14 for a press conference to discuss the contents of a report entitled “Failing California Communities.” The report contains a collection of data supporting the notion that low wages for UC service employees not only devastate families but also strain the local economy. “They work two to three jobs to make ends meet,” said union campaign organizer Julian Posadas.
