Falafel! Falafel!
It’s not every day that you can get kosher food in Santa Barbara, but then every day isn’t the 60th anniversary of Israel’s independence. Congregation B’nai B’rith celebrates Yom Ha’atzmaut in Hebrew, the day that commemorates the founding of the state of Israel in 1948, on May 4. Of course, a celebration isn’t any good without food, and this fte will feature the authentic Israeli cooking of Chef Yosi Neuralian and everything will be kosher. So, beyond the live music, traditional dance, and speakers, be ready for falafel and hummus so delicious you’ll want to get the recipes. And the good news is, as part of the festival, they’ll be giving them away.
