Justine Sutton
LOVIN’ THE LIMELIGHT: S.B. arts enthusiasts will likely find her face familiar or recognize her name from her byline; for the past three years, Justine Sutton has freelanced for the News-Press as a dance, theater, and film critic. Fewer will know that the SoCal native got her start in journalism right here at The Indy in 1991. When she’s not typing away at her day job or scribbling notes at a performance, Sutton can be found enjoying the spotlight herself: She’s been known to dabble in belly dancing, storytelling, singing, and stand-up comedy. The UCSB grad cites the Summer Solstice parade and dinner at the Sojourner among her favorite S.B. experiences and says, “I am delighted to have been welcomed so warmly back into the fold at The Indy.” The pleasure is ours, Ms. Sutton.
