Welcome to the Fund
Recently, the Arts Fund, a Santa Barbara-based nonprofit devoted to supporting artists and art programming in the community, announced a new executive director, Nina Dunbar. A New Orleans native and former project manager for the San Francisco Arts Commission, Dunbar has resided in Santa Barbara since last December.

They Got the Beat
The Rhythmic Arts Project (TRAP) will host its annual benefit this Sunday, June 1, at Girls Inc. (5315 Foothill Rd., Carpinteria) beginning at 12:30 p.m. The event will feature food, dancing, live music, and appearances by legendary Doors drummer John Densmore and Chicago drummer Danny Seraphine. Tickets are $20 general admission and are available online at traponline.com, or at Mike’s Drum Shop (1109 De la Vina St.).

The Big Shots
Olympus Imaging America and Brooks Institute of Photography are sponsoring a free event titled Meet the Pros this Friday, May 30, at Victoria Hall Theater (33 W. Victoria St.) at 6 p.m. World-renowned and award-winning photographers Ian Macdonald-Smith and Maki Kawakita will be on hand to discuss their craft and share trade secrets. The event is free and open to the public.
