Health 7-3

Thu Jul 03, 2008 | 12:00am

On 7/1, California doctors treating people on Medi-Cal-federal-state health insurance for the very poor-began receiving 10 percent less for their services. S.B. physicians get a temporary reprieve while their CenCal-managed care program uses its reserves to pay them, but dentists will not dodge the cut. Health advocates worry that the cut, part of Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger’s emergency deficit reduction package, will push even more doctors out of the Medi-Cal program. (/medi-cal703)
