More information has been disclosed regarding the purchase of progressive talk radio KIST (AM 1340) by California Lutheran University, which was announced last week. Starting next month, KIST will broadcast programming from KCLU-the university’s existing noncommercial station, which features National Public Radio programming-at a 650-watt signal that can transmit from Rincon to Goleta. That’s 646 watts more powerful than the existing KCLU signal.
