Nationwide medical transport corporation American Medical Response, Inc. (AMR) announced on 9/19 that it had reached an agreement with the International Association of EMTs and Paramedics regarding the latter’s contracts. As a result, Santa Barbara County’s 94 AMR employees did not strike on 9/23 as planned. The new contracts between AMR and its employees include a 13 percent raise over the next three years and a benefits package. (/amr925)
