Bustling Butterflies

Want to see a wonderful spectacle of nature and true treasure in your own backyard? Bring the whole family to enjoy the first event in the Environmental Defense Center’s new series Walks on the Wild Side-a trip to Goleta to discover the thousands of monarch butterflies that create their unique habitats on Ellwood Mesa for a short time every year. Naturalists will be on hand to educate kids (and adults) about the butterflies, the butterfly flora and fauna, and the butterflies’ distinctive behavior.
