Plans for a new golf course at the Montecito Country Club got rave reviews from the public at a City Planning Commission meeting on 6/11. The meeting kicked off a public comment period on an environmental document that will accompany plans for the golf course and facility. Environmentalists and neighbors alike were excited about the changes to the course which, after improvements, will essentially serve as a storm water drainage system for the course and the 250-acre watershed to its north. Public comments on the environmental document can still be submitted to the city through 6/22.
