Twin Towers: Who Done It?

Thu Oct 01, 2009 | 12:00am

I want to write you and say how much I enjoyed your September 17 cover story called “A Towering Debate” [or “Twin Towers, Twin Myths]. It has been doubtful to my family since the Twin Towers came down that airplanes would bring the buildings down that way. It looked more like the buildings were brought down they way they do in Las Vegas when they demolish buildings. My husband and I agree that someone wanted to bring they buildings down but we differ on who did it. He wrote to you and said it was the Israel secret service so they could discredit Muslims; I on the other hand say it was our government who wanted to be able to enter the Middle East to be sure the U.S. has control of the oil. But although we disagree, we both want a thorough investigation into the Twin Towers and how they actually were brought down, and with that, we want to know who was responsible for their descent. And it is never to late to prosecute the responsible parties. Thank you again for such a good piece explaining that there is a debate on the way the Twin Towers came down.-Sue Smiley, Goleta
