Remember 1969

Slick Oil has swept ashore in Santa Barbara, polluting citizenry.

Some S.B.-citizens’ normally rational, pro-environment brains have been thickly coated with Slick Oil’s slickery, causing them to spout all kinda oily nonsense. Fact is: there is no guarantee PXP will remove the oil platform[s] in question in 14 years, and EDC and PXP cannot bind the state or feds to cease domestic oil/gas leasing operations. There is no enforceable end date. Oil slicks come ashore in many forms. The first wave has arrived in S.B. The second wave is coming ashore now along the Gulf coast. S.B. oil SOS: Remember 1969. —Jerry Collamer, San Clemente, CA
