Yes on 15!

The Independent says “No.” Why? Their argument sounds so, so irrelevant. They would have us vote against Prop 15 in favor of “full disclosure” of campaign contributions. Of course, full disclosure is always an excellent idea, but why would voting against Prop 15 advance that goal? Do they really think any money would be made available for that, especially if the public were to show so little interest in how candidates are supported as to vote against 15?

When it comes to controlling the buying of elections, we should leave no stone unturned. Prop 15 is the result of years of negotiation, and needs to be passed.—Lesley Alexander, S.B.
