Two S.B. Nonprofits Host Fundraising Soirées
Thursday, July 22, head to SOhO (1221 State St.) for the 2nd Annual Girls’ Night Out, a benefit for the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. From 6:30-10 p.m., the fundraising event will feature an auction, makeovers, massages, a lingerie fashion show, and more. Tickets are $25-$30; ages 21+ only. Call 570-8361 for more info.
The Sansum Diabetes Research Institute hosts the 9th Annual Taste of the Vine this weekend, an event catered by the finest local restaurants, wineries, and breweries. Live music, and an auction hosted by John Palminteri, will also be featured at the event, which will help fund research to help cure, treat, and prevent childhood diabetes in the S.B. community. The soirée will take place from 4-8 p.m. on Saturday, July 31, at the QAD Facility (2111 Ortega Hill Rd., Summerland); tickets are $75-$85. Call 682-7640 for more info.
