Notre Dame School has a new principal — and it’s one of its own. The board recently announced that Anne Chenoweth was named principal of the Catholic elementary school.
Chenoweth has 14 years of classroom teaching experience and holds a master’s degree in education leadership and policy studies.
A “Santa Barbara local” and Notre Dame alum, she brings “invaluable experience, leadership and enthusiasm to this position,” according to the board.
Notre Dame is a fully accredited Catholic elementary school within the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, serving the community of Santa Barbara for more than 100 years. Located near the historic downtown area, close to museums, theaters, and many cultural landmarks, it offers kindergarten through eighth grade and has a licensed preschool for children from two-and-a-half years.
