Santa Barbara Contractors Association Recognize Outstanding Local Firms
The Santa Barbara Contractors Association 2010 Builder of the Year Award is a program that recognizes exceptional performance in various categories in an effort to promote excellence in construction. A panel of experts selects winning projects on the basis of overall quality of workmanship, uniqueness, difficulty of project, green building practices, and aesthetics, epitomizing the SBCA Mission Statement – “Construction professionals shaping, serving, and educating our community with integrity, quality, and environmental balance.”
Established in 1948, the Santa Barbara Contractors Association is a 700-member organization comprised of construction–related companies committed to “preserving the past and building the future” of Santa Barbara by upholding values of integrity, craftsmanship and professionalism in their industry.
The following 2010 Builder of the Year Awards were presented by the Santa Barbara Contractors Association (SBCA) on Friday evening July 30 at the Fess Parker Doubletree Resort.

2010 Member’s Choice Award – D.D. Ford Construction Inc.
2010 Industry Professional Award – Hayward Lumber Company
2010 SBCA Presidents Award – Santa Barbara Trust for Historic Preservation
