Charity Regatta on September 12

The Santa Barbara Yacht Club will be hosting its annual Charity Regatta on September 12, for the benefit of Visiting Nurse and Hospice Care’s Serenity House, a residential hospice facility.

The event will begin at 12:30 pm at the Santa Barbara Yacht Club. Guests will have the opportunity to view the regatta from the deck of the YC or from a spectator yacht skippered by a member of the yachting community. Apres Regatta will include a late summer beach party on the strand, a zesty BBQ, music, and a selection of tropical beverages. Raffle tickets will be available for an assortment of fabulous prizes such as a Santa Ynez wine tasting weekend at a sprawling 10 acre ranch in Los Olivos, or a 30 day golfing extravaganza, including 3 golf lessons per week, at the Twin Lakes Golf Course.

The event will take place on September 12, 2010, at 12:30 pm at the Santa Barbara Yacht Club, 130 Harbor Way. Ticket are $75 for adults and $25 for children. Inquire about becoming a sponsor or spectator at the VNHC website.

Visiting Nurse and Hospice Care is one of the oldest and most respected non-profits in the county of Santa Barbara with roots extending throughout the Santa Barbara community.
