A plethora of Halloween activities await every S.B. treat-seeker this year: not only candy-hungry kids but also those fright-loving locals who make up the post-trick-or-treating crowd. Costume-donning party-goers and even dressed-up four-legged friends will have many ways to make the spookiest night of the year a memorable one. Get in the spirit at some of the area’s most promising Halloween goings-on:

• Halloween Extravaganza: Kids in costume can trick-or-treat at an abundance of stores in one shopping center, then face the Tunnel of Living Terrors. (Fri., Oct. 29, 3-6pm. Calle Real Ctr., 5700 Calle Real, Goleta. Call 967-7716.)

• Pumpkin Carving and Fall-Themed Wine Tasting: Jack-o’-lantern judging contest and optional sampling of varietals produced on the Central Coast. (Fri., Oct. 29, 6-8pm. S.B. Contemporary Arts Forum, 653 Paseo Nuevo. Spectators and contest entries, free; wine tasting. Call 966-5373.)
